We pushed back a fortnightly catch-up one week due to Good Friday (for those keeping track), but that has not stopped the startups’ progress in class 16 of INCUBATE. Their mindsets have shifted to acting, and the teams are getting some great runs on the board.

Serena, from Kobi, Handcrafted Portuguese handbags made from cork (1 bag purchased = 1 tree planted)

Quick Startup Inspiration: Kobi, a for-profit business with a philanthropical push (1 handcrafted cork Portuguese handbag = 1 cork tree planted), has lined up numerous weekend markets over the coming weeks. While not a traditional startup, we love supporting Serena and her desire to build an eco-friendly supply chain to benefit future generations. She’s also making sales! Last weekends Sydney Boutique Markets, she even bumped into a long-time mentor of INCUBATE, Mike Nicholls.

Here are this fortnight’s notable asks to the startup community:

Have you or someone you know launched a product on Product Hunt?

Mikhail, at Newsplay, is exploring the idea of launching his animatronic AI news anchor on Product Hunt. If you have experience in launching a product on Product Hunt, and you’d be willing to shed some light, please connect with us.

Do you or does someone you know run a sustainable brand?

Serena, at Kobi, is looking for sustainable brands who might want to collaborate or make cork alternatives to some of their designs. Please reach out.

Shopify stores!

Refundid continues to take strides forward, partnering with some leading online e-commerce stores. While their BigCommerce integration right around the corner, they are continuing to grow their base of Shopify vendors with their relatively seamless integration for instant refunds.

Thank you!
